Welcome

On April 13th, 2014 both of our lives forever changed. I, Amanda, went shopping for shoes for one of my best friend’s wedding! At that moment, on that day, Josh happened to be working & helped me pick out my shoes! We definitely did not expect to meet that day! As crazy as it sounds, I felt a connection to this man immediately. I knew nothing about this very attractive guy, but I just had a good feeling about him. We had never seen each before this day and then we saw each other again at another store 2 days later. Talk about a sign! We talked for a little bit & then decided to go out. I knew he had something important to talk to me about, but I had no idea he had been through such a tragic event. He explained that he had been married for several years & had a little girl that meant the world to him. He wanted to make sure that if we pursue this relationship that I love & treat her as my own daughter. We have spent every day together, except for a few days due to work, etc. and we never take our time together for granted. We are so connected on so many levels & have the same interests. We feel like we have known each other for years. We would do anything for each other, without question.

It didn’t take long for us to both realize that we were placed in each others lives for a reason. Josh & Savannah needed me and I needed them just as much. We finally decided to start ring shopping, but he told me it would probably be another year or so before he would be able to pop the question. I was so excited, yet disappointed, because I didn’t know how I was going to wait that long to start the rest of my life with him! I had no idea just how creative & full of surprises he actually was. For 2 months, my friends and I had a girls weekend planned in STL because they made me believe one of my best friends was moving there soon. I was so upset! While I was being fooled, little did I know, Josh was planning an unforgettable proposal. He had organized a quartet to sing our song, rented a white tux, & had a pathway of lit candles leading to him standing in the center of the Terrace on top of the Hyatt Hotel in STL on October, 31st, 2014! He had help from my wonderful friends as well! It was absolutely perfect and I was in complete SHOCK! It was the moment I have waited for my whole life! I am so thankful they had it videoed! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AEP4z2-Fls
